This section explains how to apply the license required when using EVRICA software products (model number: SKSxxx).
Note: Model number KS100 (EVRICA main unit + EVRICA-Viewer) can be used without a license.
If you have not yet obtained a license file, please refer to “How to obtain the EVRICA license.”
1. Placing the obtained license file
Place the license file (with the .lic extension) issued as an email attachment into an appropriate folder.
Note: A two-byte code (kanji, hiragana, etc.) and one-byte space cannot be used for a license file path.
(Example: C:\YDC\License)
2. Connecting the EVRICA main unit or dongle to the host PC
Connect the EVRICA main unit or dongle, to which you wish to apply the license, to the host PC.
If you are authenticating the license with the EVRICA main unit, turn on the EVRICA’s power.
If a driver installation is required, follow the instructions provided by the standard Windows installer.
If you are authenticating the license using the host PC’s MAC address, no dongle is required.
3. Launching EVRICA License Administrator for YDC (LAY)
From the Windows Start menu, select [D] → [DTSinsight] → [EVRICA License Administrator for YDC] to launch the application.
4. Click the [Add] button and register the folder where the license file is located in EVRICA License Administrator for YDC (LAY).
Note:
- When EVRICA License Administrator for YDC (LAY) is connected with EVRICA
When the LAY is connected with EVRICA, other tools (such as EVRICA-Viewer) cannot connect with EVRICA.
Exit the LAY, or click the Disconnect button to disconnect the connection before connecting another tool
with EVRICA.
- You do not need to launch LAY each time you start EVRICA-Viewer.
