The basic steps for using NETIMPRESS avant/accorde to program a microcontroller (write data to flash memory) are as follows:
1. Software Installation
First, install the necessary software on your PC.
https://support.dts-insight.co.jp/en/product/support_netimpress/download/
・SWX600 (Remote Controller): This is the main software for controlling the programmer from a PC and downloading and configuring various files.
・AZ481 (KEY File Generator) (Optional): This software creates KEY files for security checks, YSM files
for sum value checks, and YDD files for configuring various microcontroller settings.
・AZ780 (IP Address Setting Tool) (Optional): This software sets the IP address of the programmer using
NETIMPRESS accorde.
Note: If you install SWX610 (Programmer Control DLL), SWX600 will also be installed at the same time,
so installing SWX600 is not necessary.
2. Ethernet (Network) Connection Settings
Set up communication between the PC (SWX600) and the programmer.
・Connect the programmer to the PC with an Ethernet (LAN) cable.
・Set the IP address on the programmer using the programmer's LCD screen and buttons.
(MENU P12 / IP ADDRESS)
・Enter the IP address you set on the SWX600 PC and run "Communication Check" to confirm communication.
Note: To use button operations with the NETIPRESS acorde, the optional maintenance unit (AFX230) is required.
Note: If the NETIPRESS acorde does not have a maintenance unit, use the AZ780 (IP Address Setting Tool)
to set the IP address.
3. Adding a License
Register the permission (license) to program the target microcontroller on the programmer's dedicated SD card.
・Register the product on the website (DTS Insight Support Page) and obtain the license file (.LCT, .LCP).
https://support.dts-insight.co.jp/en/mypage/
・Using SWX600, add the license (definition and probe logic) to the dedicated SD card or programmer
using the license file obtained by executing "Add License."
*If using communication protocols such as JTAG, SWD, or QPSI (serial flash), a probe logic license is required
in addition to the definition license.
4. Creating a YIM Folder
Create a dedicated folder (YIM folder) for managing programming data and environment settings.
・Using SWX600, create a folder named "xxxx.YIM" (extention: .YIM) on the dedicated SD card and select it
as the "Current Folder (currently used folder)."
5. Loading Various Configuration Files and Programming Data
Load (transfer) the preparation files required for programming from your PC into the created YIM folder.
・Load configuration files (obtained from a Micom Pack, etc.) tailored to the microcontroller's specifications,
such as definition files (.CM) and parameter files (.PRM).
・Load the object file (HEX, Motorola S format, etc.) containing the program data you want to program
the microcontroller and extract it to the buffer memory on the SD card.
6. Connecting to the Target System
Connect the programmer to the target system or board you want to program.
・Use a probe cable (e.g., PHX400 or PHX410) compatible with the target microcontroller.
・Note: To prevent equipment damage, always power on the target system while the programmer is powered on.
7. Execute Programming
Once preparations are complete, begin writing the data.
・Execute the device function from the SWX600's "Basic Operation" screen or the programmer's menu.
・Typically, you complete the entire programming process by executing "E.P.R." (Erase → Program → Read/Verify).
For detailed instructions and how to operate each screen, please also refer to the "Startup Manual" and
"SWX600 Software Manual."
