This issue occurs when the "Probe Logic License" required for the operation of the definition you are using (communication with the target microcontroller) is not registered on your programmer unit (AFX100, AFX210).
*Additional registration of the Probe Logic License is not required when using general-purpose serial communication (UART and CSI) and CAN/CAN FD communication.
The following licenses are pre-installed (registered) for the target probes at the time of shipment of the programmer unit.
General-purpose serial communication (PLX410):
Standardly installed for serial probe hardware (PHX400/PHX401/PHX403)
CAN/CAN FD communication (PLX450):
Standardly installed for CAN/CAN FD probe hardware (PHX410)
* Main probe logic licenses (optional sales):
PLX420: JTAG
PLX430: SWD (widely used in ARM core microcontrollers)
PLX440: Quad SPI (for serial flash)
PLX460: BDM
PLX480: I2C
<Solution>
The probe logic licenses currently registered to the programmer can be checked by clicking [Read License] in the "License Information" tab of the PC software "SWX600".
If additional licenses are needed, please register the target product (probe logic license) on the support webpage and obtain the license file (.LCP).
Click "Add License" in the "License Information" tab of the SWX600 and add the acquired license file to the programmer itself.
