1. Meaning of the Error
This error occurs when executing a device function (such as E.P.R.) if the "YDD file"
(a data file containing security and option settings) which the programmer requires
for the process contains errors or inconsistencies.
*Note: The error code associated with this issue may vary depending on the definition
program being used.
2. Causes and Countermeasures
■ Cause 1: Issues with the Motorola S-record format
Situation: If you modify only the data section of an existing YDD file using a text editor, the checksum value at the end of the line may become incorrect, resulting in a formatting error regarding the Motorola S-record structure.
■ Cause 2: Address or data settings do not comply with the specifications defined for the definition program.
■ Countermeasures (Workarounds)
[Countermeasure A]
When creating or modifying YDD files, always use AZ481 (KEY File Generator) instead of
a text editor.
[Countermeasure B]
Refer to the manual for your specific definition program, create a YDD file with the
correct settings, and copy it into the YIM folder.
